Simple design shows off the best of all materials. A multilayered (makume-game technique) visual appearance lets polymer do what it does best.. "goes with the flow". Enchancing the contrast of the clay's shimmering surface is the crisp metal edge of the filigree (or petal) bottom. Switching from gold to silver, using patinas and leafing, the design is a classic. Easily updated with new metal pieces, it goes with anything!
When i sold in galleries, they sold quickly at $24.. but forget the overhead. Each order is custom, since no two are exactly alike. Indicate base color (the dramatic are on black backgrounds, dark blue or purple, teal or green also looks good). the type of filigree and earring style.. and that's it.

Memory wire bracelet made using large 2" long earrings... big bunches of pearlized beads hung on a chain. I added spacers, painted other beads to match and the centerpiece is a white rhinestone-studded Bead.! |

This fabulous necklace (i was soo pleased to see that it turned out well... it was an experiment with ring-sized memory wire and multi-strand bridges. It got pretty complex pretty fast, when the memory wire suddenly lost it's "wrap".... but i knew my components could take the stress. The leaves (large and small) are, of course polymer clay with a makume game outer layer (used rust, gold and green pearl-ex, metallic leaf, and layered a think sheet of rust every 5th layer) Othe rthan the clay and memory wire.. i combined dyed freshwater pearls (top-drilled) in cranberry, goldenrod and several greens, the silver-toned 2-strand bridge had a nice stamped design that added a nice element, and i sprinkled in foil-lined glass "e" beads in reds and golds. |
